NEW DELHI: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) star all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer, who made his start in IPL 2023 as an 'Impact Player', on Monday once again showcased his love for World Wrestling Entertainment by flaunting his WWE belt.
KKR posted a video on their Twitter handle, saying, "Venkatesh reigns supreme in Knights' hearts".
Iyer shared the picture on his official Instagram story with the fans in 2021 while thanking The Souled Store who fulfilled his wish of owning a WWE belt.
"Undertaker is one of my childhood heroes. I am a big fan of WWE and Undertaker. I really hope that he sees this video and sends me a signed WWE belt," Iyer said after making his T20 debut in a video posted by BCCI.
KKR had a great start to their 192-run chase but kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Coming in as 'Impact Player' Iyer, who scored a 28-ball 34, kept KKR's chase on the track giving able company to Andre Russell who hit 19-ball 35.
But soon KKR lost the wickets of both Iyer and Russell and the rain further dented their hopes as they eventually lost their opening game by 7 runs in IPL 2023 season via DLS method against Punjab Kings.
