The United States on Monday released footage of its latest military operation against Iran, showing fighter jets taking off from aircraft carriers and precision strikes on Iranian targets as tensions between the two countries continue to escalate.

The video, shared by the US Central Command (Centcom), comes after the American military announced it had completed a fresh wave of offensive strikes on July 12, targeting dozens of sites across Iran. According to Centcom, the operation was aimed at weakening Iran's ability to carry out attacks on international shipping passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
In a statement accompanying the video, Centcom said US forces struck Iranian air defence systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small military boats. It added that the operation involved fighter aircraft, naval vessels, one-way attack aerial drones and, for the first time, one-way attack sea drones.
