Bart Starr is an NFL icon for winning the first two Super Bowls. He will be greatly missed. Here’s what Tarkenton had to say about Starr:

Starr set numerous records as a player. His five championships was the most of NFL QBs for ages until Tom Brady won his sixth championship this past season. Much like Brady, Starr was picked very late in the draft (200th selection) and faced an abundance of doubters.
Bart Starr was a great man off the field as well and had the Bart Starr Award named after him. Fittingly, it is awarded to a player with outstanding leadership and character both on and off the field. In two of the past four seasons Georgia Bulldogs have won the award: Thomas Davis in 2016 and Ben Watson in 2019.
