
U.S. Senator Dick Durbin debated two of his rivals — Republican Mark C. Curran Jr. and Willie Wilson — in an endorsement interview with the Chicago Sun-Times Editorial Board on Friday morning, Sept. 18.
Durbin, a Democrat, is seeking his fifth term in the U.S. Senate. Curran is a lawyer who served as Lake County Sheriff from 2006 to 2018. Wilson, who is running under the flag of the Willie Wilson Party, is an international businessman who ran unsuccessfully for mayor of Chicago in 2015 and 2019.
