Watch: Two of Steph Curry’s biggest games have come on February 27

February 27th does not mean much to the average NBA player. Most of them probably think that it is just another day and that March is coming soon. But for Stephen Curry, this date is special for him because he had two of the most memorable moments in his career on this date.

In 2013, he scored a career-high 54 points, electrifying the Madison Square Garden crowd, hitting a then career-high 11 threes on 13 attempts. He played all 48 minutes and this was the day that the world was introduced to a new superstar and his name was Wardell Stephen Curry. The funniest thing about this performance was the Warriors lost the game because the Knicks were good back then.

Three years later, he had a more memorable performance, scoring 46 points and hitting 12 threes in a 121-118 overtime victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder and Durant. It was the most exciting Warriors regular-season victory in years with Curry capping it off with a 40 footer from the left wing to win it. The Thunder were in disbelief and Curry celebrated by dancing in what would be a unanimous MVP season.

It is 2019 now, three years later, so hopefully, Curry keeps his trend going and has an incredible night in South Beach. He is due after his dismal shooting performance in Charlotte. The Heat could be in trouble tonight.
