Watch: Reckless daredevils scale Aldi car park in Waterford city before one falls

Footage shows the moment two reckless daredevils scale the side of a car park in Waterford city before one falls multiple storeys down.

The man who fell from the side of the building was making his way back down.

He was rushed to University Hospital Waterford where he is in critical condition.

The men, believed to be in their 30s, were spotted egging each other on as they climbed the side of an Aldi car park in The Glen area of Waterford city on Wednesday afternoon.

One of the men is seen scaling the car park before another gives chase in an effort to catch up with him.

The two men were seen hanging from the side of the building multiple floors up as residents in the area watched on in horror.

An eyewitness who filmed the incident said he and his friends were 'worried' as they watched from a window nearby.

The men are believed to have been drinking in the alleyway beneath the car park before the incident took place, the Waterford News and Star reports.

No arrest are believed to have been made by Gardai yet.

A Garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí in Waterford responded to reports of a public order incident at a retail premises in the Glasshouse Lane area at approximately 12.20pm on 25th March 2020.

"Two males were observed climbing the side of a building.

"One male received serious injuries while descending the building.

"Emergency services attended the scene. The injured male was taken to University Hospital Waterford where he is believed to be in a critical condition.

"Enquiries ongoing."

An Aldi spokesperson said: "Aldi is assisting the Gardai with their investigation."
