It took until the final minute of the first half of their preseason opener against the Los Angeles Chargers, but they scored a touchdown. It was a touchdown pass from Brett Hundley to Trent Sherfield.

From 22 yards out, Sherfield beats Chargers cornerback Jeff Richards, getting separation beginning at about six yards beyond the line of scrimmage. Hundley loft the pass over the top, Sherfield makes the grab and manages to get both feet down as he fell out of bounds.
The score along with Zane Gonzalez’ extra point tied the score at 7-7, where it would finish the first half.
Sherfield had a very good first half, catching four passes for 44 yards and the score. He also had a special teams tackle.
