Though one of them tries to push the monkey, others are seen discouraging him, saying that it would scare the animal. But later, upon understanding that the monkey is struggling in the water, they decide to help it. Further, in the video, the group can be seen rescuing the monkey by gently looping a rope around its lower body. As the raft begins to move forward, they guide the monkey along with them, keeping the pace steady in order to not to startle or hurt it. Though the animal appears tense at first, gradually it is seen relaxing after apparently understanding the humans are not trying to harm but to help.
