Watch: Titans’ Azeez Al-Shaair was mic’d up in Week 8

Tennessee Titans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair has been one of the more underrated additions of the offseason.

He doesn’t get a lot of hype nationally as one of the better linebackers in the NFL, but he’s consistently a steady and reliable presence in the middle of the Titans’ defense.

An offer for Titans fans

Al-Shaair currently ranks in the top 10 in total tackles with 73 while also having five quarterback pressures, four quarterback hits, one sack and one fumble recovery, en route to earning an overall grade of 67.3, per Pro Football Focus.

On top of being a productive presence for Tennessee’s defense, the Titans’ linebacker also happens to be a vocal and emotional leader, as well. We recently got a glimpse into that aspect of his game after he was mic’d up during the Titans’ Week 8 victory over the Atlanta Falcons last Sunday.

Al-Shaair is constantly seen giving advice to his teammates and/or doing his part to hype them up throughout the game. The funniest part of the video comes when he and Jeffery Simmons are having friendly banter over a play where Simmons knocked Al-Shaair over while trying to make a play himself.

The veteran linebacker finished the day with 11 tackles. He will now have the chance to do it again on a short week and the Titans ould use a big game from Al-Shaair when Tennessee takes on the Steelers on Thursday night.
