Watch timelapse footage of Trix the T-Rex being built in Glasgow

Before the doors open to her adoring fans tomorrow, timelapse footage has been released showing the entire build.

The amazing footage shows the complexity of the build over three days, with some 300 individual bones being pieced together to make up the massive skeleton.

With ferocious teeth and short arms, the Tyrannosaurus rex is probably the most well-known dinosaur in the world.

Electric Fields organisers make u-turn and offer full refunds after ticket holders hit out

Weighing as much as four Mini Coopers, the rare dinosaur skeleton has been transported across Europe - by land and sea - to arrive in the city on her last stop before heading to her forever home in the Netherlands.

The 66 to 67-million-year-old T. rex female is 39-foot long, around 13 feet high and weighs a colossal 5,000 kg.

Glasgow is proud to host the fossil, being the only UK stop on Trix's European Tour, but it wasn't an easy journey to get here.

With 250 bones, and weighing six tonnes, you can imagine the amount of planning and time it has taken to showcase this spectacular piece in the city.

Trix will be in Glasgow for 15 weeks, until July 31.
