Look, I know Tim Tebow is a former Florida quarterback that many Buckeye fans probably hated for a long time due to his team’s bludgeoning of Jim Tressel’s 2006 Ohio State team in the 2007 BCS National Championship.
But he played for Urban Meyer and is so closely tied to the former Ohio State coach that in some ways, it feels like Tebow is an extension of the culture Meyer built in Columbus. In fact, ask Urban who had a lasting impact on his life, and he’s quick to point out the former Heisman winner.
So, I just couldn’t help but share this message. It’s one that all young kids should listen to and try to put into practice. If you have young kids in sports — or in life in general — show them this video to get them to understand that chasing dreams, even with the opportunity of failure and criticism being a real possibility, is worth it.
Tebow, for reasons I’ll never understand, has come under intense criticism and scrutiny over the years despite being nothing but a positive role model and human being.
These are quotes that anyone feeling defeated because of criticism and failure can use as motivation to keep pursuing things that are worth it — even when everyone doubts you.
