While most of the U.S. was sleeping Sunday night, making the most of the end of the long Fourth of July weekend, Tiger Woods was starting his week very early to prepare for the Open Championship at Royal Portrush.
The 43-year-old has 15 major championships under his belt and is starting to adjust his sleeping schedule 10 days before teeing off Thursday, July 18 for the Open Championship in Northern Ireland.
Woods was awake and posting on Nike’s Instagram story at 1 a.m. ET on Monday morning, sharing his pre-tournament plan with the world. “Hey Nike, it’s Tiger. Wake up!” Woods said. “It is now 1 a.m. here on the East Coast. Why am I doing this right now? Because it is now 6 a.m. at Royal Portrush. I will be playing the Open Championship there and in order to be prepared for the time change I’m getting up.”
