WATCH: Tiger Woods not feeling ‘sharp’ heading into British Open

If you’re anxiously awaiting a Masters-esque performance from Tiger Woods this week, you may want to lower your expectations.

The golfer told reporters Tuesday that he’s “not quite as sharp” as he’d like to be heading into the British Open, which tees off Thursday at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland.

Woods, who has not played competitively since the U.S. Open, noted the ever-changing winds of the region and said that he’s studying up on how to play each hole of the course based on where the winds will be blowing.

“Today it was a good range session,” Woods said. “I need another one tomorrow. And hopefully, that will be enough to be ready.”

He’s set to tee off at 10:10 a.m. ET Thursday with Matt Wallace and Patrick Reed.
