WATCH: Thunder short film ‘Growing Up George’ featuring Paul George

The Oklahoma City Thunder’s production “Growing Up George” made its debut at the deadCenter Film Festival on Saturday in Oklahoma City.

The five-minute and 26-second short film is narrated by Thunder forward and 2019 candidate for Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the Year Paul George and his sister and former Pepperdine University women’s baseball standout Teiosha George.

The short film tells the story of how Paul George was motivated to be the best basketball player he could be by his sister’s excellence on the court. It also hits on the inspiration he drew from his mother’s resiliency after she suffered a stroke in his youth.

After it debuted at the film festival, the Thunder posted the entire clip to Twitter:

Also featured at the film festival was one of George’s teammates, Patrick Patterson. Following the showing of “Jump Shot” — the winner of Best Documentary at the festival — the Thunder forward led the question and answers segment about the film.
