Watch thrill-seeker base jump from crane onto football pitch in Dublin

This is the moment a daredevil took to the skies embarking on a death-defying base jump in Dublin.

The thrill-seeker jumped from a crane in what he called a "secret Dublin location" on Easter Sunday. The jump was hundreds of feet in the air, not one for the faint hearted.

The daredevil used a parachute decked out in the colours of the Irish flag while he embarked on the breathtaking stunt, Dublin Live reports.

A camera that appears to be mounted to the stunt-man's helmet captures some spectacular shots of the city as viewers trace his tense footsteps to the edge of the crane.

The video shows the fearless man shuffle towards the edge of the massive crane before plunging a heart-stopping distance in a matter of seconds and landing on a nearby sports pitch.

And while all ended well for this daring diver, we can't say we'd recommend that anyone else follow his lead.
