Nick Saban and Alabama are going back to the College Football Playoff championship game after absolutely trouncing Notre Dame in the semi-finals.
But it didn’t come without any, uh, hiccups — they didn’t come from the game on the field, though.
Before heading into the locker room for halftime, Saban attempted to do his usual halftime interview for the broadcast team before heading in. Except for, this time, it was anything but usual.
There were apparently some technical difficulties with the headphones the Crimson Tide head coach was using. He couldn’t hear the questions he was being asked and was clearly frustrated.

WHEW that was awkward. But it was also hilarious. This later became a meme on the internet. It became great content for impressionist Joey Mulinaro, who already had an incredible Nick Saban impression.
He put on his best Nick Saban once again for a postgame interview session and it was gold. SO good.

“I don’t have time for this. I come over here because I’m required to do it, and you don’t even have it set up so I can hear. The headphones don’t work, can’t hear you, I got wires everywhere.”
Play this, close your eyes and tell me you’re not seeing Nick Saban going on this rant.
Somebody should get Saban some working headphones for that next interview, though, before this rant becomes an actual thing.
