Watch this five-year-old Irish Foo Fighters fan steal the show after he's invited on stage in Belfast

This five-year-old Irish Foo Fighters fan stole the show at their gig on Monday night after the rockstars invited him on stage.

Foo Fighters lead singer Dave Grohl invited Taylor Blackburn on stage after spotting the boy's fan sign in the crowd.

Taylor's sign made reference to the fact he shared a name with the band's drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Blackburn rocked out to the hit All My Life, wearing a pair of ear defenders, to a crowd of 35,000 fans who watched him perform with Grohl encouraging him to, 'show them how to dance'.

Taylor's mum Nikki told Belfast Live she and husband Daniel are so proud of their son.

She said: "We are insanely proud of our wee man. We're still in shock.

"My phone has been going mad with friends and family contacting us after seeing it.

"He's actually named after drummer Taylor Hawkins so we had to take him to the Foos for his first gig."

Following the gig, videos of Taylor went viral on social media with concert goers saying he 'stole the show'.

Foo Fighters opened the first night of this year's Belfast Vital festival before they play a sold out gig in Dublin's RDS Arena on Wednesday, August 21.
