As Sam Smith unveils his Writing’s on the Wall music video, those curious about the latest Bond chapter should be surprised to discover that the famed fictional British Secret Service agent has taken a more focussed, feminist approach to saving the globe in the forthcoming Spectre film. Only kidding! It looks as if the majority of the movie will feature Daniel Craig fornicating with forbidden widows and former nemeses, creeping around wood cabins and caves, driving through deserts and pouting in polo necks.
The video – released at 00.07am on 5 October, which also happens to be Global James Bond Day – also includes footage of Smith giving his best earnest interpretation of the song in different locations in Rome.
