Watch the video for Fall In by 4AD's latest signing, Pixx

Pixx
Person of note … Pixx

If you’re reading, June Brown: be very concerned. Until now, EastEnder’s Dot Cotton may have been the most significant cultural export to come out of Chipstead, but 4AD’s latest singing Pixx could potentially wrestle her way to the top of Wikipedia’s notable persons list.

For 19-year-old Pixx, real name Hannah Rodgers, possesses the same celestial qualities as fellow label-mates Cocteau Twins or Blonde Redhead, with a little of astral, new age aesthetic of Grimes and the gothic melancholy of Bauhaus. A graduate of the Brit school, she joins King Krule and TĀLĀ as part of a new generation of credible creatives spawned by the renowned performing arts college.

Inspired by the likes of Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell and Aphex Twin, her debut EP, Fall In, will be released on 28 August. Until then, here’s the enigmatic video for its ghostly title track, directed by The Marshall Darlings and following Pixx as she bathes in the murky waters of the south coast.
