THESE are the Genesis premium-class cars that will be hitting UK roads from this summer.
The luxury Korean automotive brand, which already has significant markets across the globe, is expanding into Europe. And Genesis promises owners of its vehicles an experience that sets it apart from upmarket rivals.
The first models to be offered will be the G80 saloon and GV80 SUV that have an emphasis on prestigious elegance, quickly followed by the athletic G70 and GV70.
Pricing has still to be confirmed but the G80 is likely to cost from about £35,000, while the GV80 will start at some £50,000. There will also be three electric cars within the first year – starting with the G80 and then another built on an EV platform.
Genesis has also worked hard to tailor its models for European roads, so that the resulting driving experience is one of refined performance. Buyers will initially be offered a choice of petrol or diesel engines, with all-wheel-drive as a standard feature.
The marque’s models will be instantly recognisable thanks to a trademark grille and “two lines” exterior design style, while the interiors are marked out by their craftsmanship, spaciousness and technology.
Genesis will sell to customers directly both online and through its exclusive retail Studios – the first in the UK being in London.
And it is promising a service experience like no other – with transparent pricing, an all-encompassing five-year care plan, delivery and pick-up on all occasions and a dedicated personal assistant.
These PAs, recruited from hospitality and retail sectors, will manage every aspect of buying and ownership to save customers’ time and ensure engagements are always stress-free.
