NEW and improved 2020 versions of Alfa Romeo’s high-performance Quadrifoglio Giulia sports saloon and Stelvio SUV models are on the way, with first deliveries expected in the summer.
Prices and full UK specifications have yet to be decided, but the latest versions of the 510hp 2.9-litre V6 Bi-turbo engined models from the Italian marque will come with a wide range of design, technology and safety upgrades.
Outside, both Quadrifoglio cars will feature new LED rear light clusters with dark lenses plus glossy black front and rear badges. The Stelvio also gets new 21in alloys.
Inside, there’s a redesigned centre console with more storage space, a new leather trimmed steering wheel and gear stick, while on-board technology has also been upgraded to include an all-new infotainment system with an 8.8in central touchscreen display, featuring connected services and a new interface design.
On the technical side, the Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio models introduce new Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Developed with Bosch to offer level 2 autonomous driving, the system provides the highest level of autonomous driving currently permitted and allows the driver to give the car control of the accelerator, brakes and steering in heavy traffic or on longer trips.
Other tech includes lane keep and active blind spot assist, active cruise control, traffic sign recognition and intelligent speed control, traffic jam and highway assist and driver drowsiness alert.
