Watch the trailer for Jared Leto film Morbius - including scenes filmed in Manchester

The teaser trailer for Morbius, a new Spider-Man spin off that was filmed around Manchester, has landed.

Parts of the Northern Quarter were shut down for days at a time when the film's star Jared Leto came to town to film last year - and now we can finally get a glimpse at how our streets look in the blockbuster.

In the three-minute trailer, Oscar-winning Jared is seen walking down a graffiti-covered alleyway wearing an orange prison-style jumpsuit.

He was spotted in the same outfit while filming last March, alongside his gravity-defying stunt double.

The trailer also shows him in a dark hooded raincoat, which he sported on Oldham Street while swigging from a hip flask outside Leo's Fish Bar.

Although not shown in the trailer, Stevenson Square was also completely transformed into a Manhattan film set last spring.

Yellow taxi cabs, New York buses, American flags and even a subway station caused a buzz of excitement in the city.

Morbius follows the character Michael Morbius, who is dying of a rare blood disease.

The anti-hero takes a risky gamble in an attempt to save himself from the disease - but there are consequences. Vampire-y consequences.

Morbius becomes stronger and faster, but also bloodthirsty, and is seen at the end of the trailer looking more disfigured monster than Hollywood hearthrob.

Also starring in the film is Doctor Who and The Crown star Matt Smith, who was seen strolling around Manchester last year .

Morbius is a new film from Sony Pictures' Marvel Universe, and will open at cinemas on July 31.
