Watch the Toyota C-HR GR Sport that promises to deliver a more thrilling experience

TOYOTA’S head-turning C-HR compact crossover is set to become even more striking with a motorsport-inspired model.

The new GR Sport model pays homage to the Japanese giant’s highly successful Gazoo Racing division, with sharper styling inside and out and a more dynamic performance.

Black detailing around the lights and across the nose, along with a dark chrome grille and prominent front spoiler, give the C-HR a more menacing road presence.

The assertive look is enhanced with black cladding for the doors, special two-tone 19in alloys, a sporty chrome and black rear under-bumper trim and GR Sport badging.

Inside, there is a flowing silver finish across the dash and a choice of Alcantara and leather or all-fabric upholstery, both featuring red and grey stitching.

The GR logo sits proudly on the scuff plates, ignition button and driver display start-up animation, and there is a perforated leather steering wheel.

Equipment includes a multimedia system with sat nav and smartphone integration, heated front seats, keyless entry, LED headlights and rear privacy glass.

The suspension and steering set-ups have been significantly reworked to enhance the handling and the GR Sport will be offered with both 1.8 and 2.0-litre petrol hybrid powertrains.

Pricing and further specification details will be announced by Toyota nearer the C-HR GR Sport’s on-sale date early next year.
