Leeds United fans have last chance to help Thorp Arch star land academy goal award

Leeds United Under-18s right-back Dane Burlace has had his impressive strike against Bolton Wanderers u18as nominated for the LFE Goal of the Month award for October.

The teenager, who signed a two-year scholarship with the Whites back in February 2018, netted a crisp long-range effort after cutting inside on his right boot in a pulsating 4-4 draw with the Trotters towards the back-end of last month.

And the goal has seen Burlace, a former Newcastle United academy product, shortlisted for the LFE Goal of the Month gong - with the fan vote open here until noon on Tuesday.

Watch the striker here:

Burlace, who has turned out for Leeds' under-23s side this season, faces competition from Jack Veale of Exeter City, who netted a last-minute winner from the halfway line, Bristol Rovers' Kieran Phillips and Bolton's Joe White, who happened to score his Goal of the Month contender in the same game that Burlace netted his.

Oldham Athletic man Ryan Pickford, who netted an impressive free-kick is also on the list, as are Jack Holmes of Burton Albion, Port Vale's Hayden Campbell, Preston North End man Ben Dooley, Ryan Stratulis of Tranmere Rovers and Oxford United's Leon Chambers-Parillion.
