Watch the Rangers goals from pre-season friendly win against Coventry City

Rangers chalked up another victory on Saturday as they continued their run of pre-season wins.

After 2-0 victories over Nice and Lyon in the Veolia Trophy and their 4-0 win against Motherwell on Wednesday, Steven Gerrard's men faced English League One side Coventry City at Ibrox.

They begin their Premiership campaign against Aberdeen at Pittodrie this coming Saturday, and continued their preparations with second-half goals from Joe Aribo and Connor Goldson.

Here's how Rangers secured their win.

1) Joe Aribo, 49 minutes

The midfielder received praise for his excellent goal in midweek against Motherwell, which saw him play one-twos with Alfredo Morelos and Ianis Hagi before showing good footwork to create the chance and finish calmly with his left foot.

Aribo repeated that trick in the second half against Coventry, playing another one-two with Morelos before controlling the ball with his right and sliding the ball home with his left.

2) Connor Goldson, 66 minutes

Captain James Tavernier delivered an excellent cross into the box from a free kick, and defender Goldson rose above the Coventry defence to head the ball home with power and precision.

Manager Gerrard told Premier Sports that he's trying to secure a new striker, saying: "We've been quite open with that.

"We are actively looking to strengthen in that area, but as I said last week, we have to be patient and make sure that we get the right one in.

"We can't make a decision just for the short term. We have to think about the big picture, and the long term. We'll only go in for the right name who can help us over the course of 60 games, rather than someone who can help us for the next few weeks."
