After Michigan State’s loss, Mark Dantonio shared a brief, awkward exchange with Arizona State’s head coach Herm Edwards. Edwards and the Sun Devils have now beaten the Spartans two years in a row. The exchange, which features Edwards with his arm draped over Dantonio while Dantonio looks… not happy has now gone viral. You can watch it in the tweet below.
Mark Dantonio had reason to be upset after yesterday’s loss. He and his staff had one of the worst performances we have seen over the entire course of his tenure at Michigan State. His All-Big Ten First Team kicker missed three field goals. And it looked like the referees missed a glaring penalty on the last play of the game.
I think it’s safe to say that Mark Dantonio is glad this home-and-home series has now concluded. On to Northwestern.
