  • This is the moment an 8.8 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula on Wednesday.
  • The powerful quake triggered a tsunami warning, with waves reaching 3-4 metres in Russia's Kuril Islands and 40cm off Hokkaido, Japan.
  • Several people sustained injuries in Russia's far eastern Kamchatka Peninsula.
  • Tsunami warnings were issued for parts of Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, and other coastal areas extending south towards New Zealand.
