Denmark defender Simon Kjaer turned the ball into his own net under pressure from Raheem Sterling to make it 1-1, before Harry Kane scored in extra-time to give Gareth Southgate's side the lead.

And it produced jubilant scenes on Newcastle's quayside at the Paddy Power fan park,

Supporters have been enjoying watching England matches there all summer, and the relief was there for all to see after Denmark's opener.
