Watch the moment fans at Boxpark celebrate England's opening goal vs Denmark made by Bukayo Saka

England fans were seen overjoyed when Arsenal ace Bukayo Saka's cross found the back of the net, via Denmark defender Simon Kjaer in the first half of their Euro 2020 clash.

The Three Lions started their semi-final clash against the Danes well, dominating the ball in the early exchanges as Raheem Sterling was presented with a guilt-edge opportunity in the first half before he saw his effort brilliantly saved by Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.

Kasper Hjulmand's side then had a solid period of play where they threatened to score before taking advantage when Atalanta midfielder Mikkel Damsgaard found the back of the net with a stunning long-range free-kick, which was the first direct free-kick scored of the tournament.

However, Denmark's lead was short-lived as Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka combined well with Tottenham frontman Harry Kane before the reigning Gunners' Player of the Season delivered a perfectly weighted low cross that was inadvertently put into the back of the net by Danish defender Simon Kjaer.

The goal was met with a chorus of cheers from England fans all around the nation and supporters in Boxpark were seen overjoyed when Gareth Southgate's men equalised.

The Three Lions faithful were shown jumping up and down, with drinks flying through the air as they anxiously wait to see if they can grab a winner before the full-time whistle.

Ahead of the game Southgate explained why he decided to give Saka a start over Jadon Sancho, who featured against Ukraine.

He said: "He’s really embraced the challenge, we were very pleased with Jadon [Sancho] at the weekend, everybody knows we’ve got fantastic options in those areas.

"We felt with the balance for tonight that Bukayo is the right choice."
