This is the moment the bomb squad carried out a controlled explosion on a grenade found at a house in Trafford.
Police were called to Rivington Road in Hale just before midday today (Saturday) to reports that a grenade had been found inside a residential property.
A bomb disposal team descended on the street a short time later.
The item, thought to be a WWI hand grenade, was assessed and taken to nearby Grove Park to be detonated.
Footage sent to the Manchester Evening News shows the moment bomb disposal officers carried out the controlled explosion.

The video shows a Royal Logistics Corps personal crouching down to assess the item.
A large police cordon appears to have been put in place covering much of the park, as the explosion is carried out.
Seconds later a loud bang can be heard as the grenade is detonated.
Smoke can be seen coming from the patch of grass as the explosion occurs.
A spokesperson for GMP said: "Officers were called to a report of a grenade found on Rivington Road in Hale just before midday today (5 June 2021).
"Officers attended and notified EOD who attended and detonated the item around 3pm."
