Watch the moment bees swarm around a tree outside office buildings near Manchester Piccadilly station

This is the moment bees swarmed around a tree outside an office building near Manchester Piccadilly station.

Office workers at Piccadilly Place captured the spectacle on their mobile phones during lunch on Monday.

In a video clip, hundreds of the insects can be seen gathering around branches of the tree.

A bee keeper was called to the site to solve the issue and was seen using smoke to remove the bees.

Staff said they found themselves covered in the honey bees as they tried to return to the building for work.

Jamie Byfield, 23, sales advisor, said: "I was on my lunch break at about 12.30pm.
