Watch the moment Allan Saint-Maximin and Jetro Willems make their Newcastle United debuts to huge applause

This is the moment that Newcastle United's newest duo stepped onto the pitch at St James' Park for the first time.

In front 17,000 fans, Jetro Willems and Allan Saint-Maximin made their debuts in United's new orange third strip.

Willems, a loan signing from Eintracht Frankfurt, came on for Rolando Aarons while Saint-Maximin, who arrived for £16m from Nice, came on for United's other summer signing Joelinton.

Joelinton left the pitch with a goal to his name - scoring on his home debut.

The United fans also saw Yoshinori Muto come on for Miguel Almiron, who had another good performance - doing everything but net a goal despite two very good chances.

He got a standing ovation but it was the appearance of Saint-Maximin which really got the fans off their feet, and he didn't disappoint.

The Frenchman got instantly work tricking his way down the left before firing over. He then had a hand in Matty Longstaff's goal as he pulled a drag back, back heel in the build up.

Saint-Maximin certainly gave the United fans something to get excited about.
