Watch: The inside track on Caledonian Braves ahead of Scottish Cup Strathclyde Park debut

M&D's, scenic walks and now Scottish Cup football are all attractions at Strathclyde Park this weekend.

Motherwell's own will be welcoming Rothes to Alliance Park this weekend - the first clash in the famous competition fixture at the stadium.

The moved to their new look stadium this summer after playing their games in Annan.

The Lowland League side have underwent a brand overhaul and left behind the old Edusport Academy title for the new name - following fan consolation with their membership.

The OurFootballClub.com project, which was launched at Hampden Park last year, and allowed fans to sign up to become members for £25 with voting rights on the running of the club.

The Wishaw Press went behind the scenes to see how manager is gearing up for the Lowland League sides first round clash.

With entry to all games free for children, the boss hoped to see locals - or those just visiting the area for a family day out - come along for the big game.

The gaffer said: "We want supporters or neutrals, whoever is in the area, whether they are going to the M&D's park or restaurants next door to come and have a look.

"Ideally when they come down I want them to enjoy the game and see a team that plays good football that is effective."

He says he is delighted to be in their new ground finally, and hopes it gives them a perfect platform to reach League Two.

"We're delighted to be here," the former Airdrie and Clyde player added. "It gives us a foundation and a base to work from.

"We've got high hopes and we're ambitious but we're taking our time with it and taking it game by game.

"This group that we have got give us a real chance to progress for the rest of the season and beyond.

"We are ambitious, we do want to get promoted and we do want to win the league but we understand that is going to take time."
