Watch the heartfelt moment Carlow man given surprise birthday 'drive by' in lockdown

This Irishman was given a birthday surprise he'll never forget as his friends and family drove by his house to celebrate his 30th birthday.

Jimmy McGrath, 30, from Co Carlow, was surprised by his family who organised a birthday party for him during lockdown.

In the video, Jimmy is taken outside by his family as cars beep their horns in support for the birthday boy.

Jimmy is seen in tears of joy as the extended community, including Carlow Gardai and the Delta centre, celebrate jimmy's birthday with the McGrath family.

As the cars drive by Jimmy can be heard saying: "I love it, this is awesome."

He treats visitors to some dance moves as people wave and cheer from their windows.

Jimmy's Mum Tracey told the Irish Mirror: "Jimmy has a big family, me, my husband Pat, his sisters Lauren,Tracey, Holly and Melissa and brothers Daniel and Adam who all organised this.

"We all couldn't believe the support we got for Jimmy with his family and relatives, neighbours, the Carlow Gardai and Delta Centre.

"Jimmy was so excited he danced for all the cars passing and said it was the best day ever."

Happy birthday to Jimmy and it's great to see yet another great example of a community pulling together in this difficult time.
