Watch the epic trailer for Netflix’s new Formula 1 documentary series

The 2019 Formula 1 season will officially begin on March 14th with practice in Melbourne, and race fans will be busy binge-watching an all-access look at the 2018 season in the days leading up to the Australian Grand Prix.

Netflix was granted “unparalleled” access over the course of the 2018 season, which ended with Lewis Hamilton winning his fifth World Championship, and a 10-part series chronicling the year in F1 will release on March 8th. Formula 1 shared a trailer for the documentary on Twitter.

The trailer mainly focuses on the ever-present danger of auto racing, but with 10 episodes to fill, the series hopefully also dives into the unseen political battles that shape the sport behind the scenes. If Netflix was given enough access to pull back the curtain on high-level F1 business, this could be a dream series for fans.
