WATCH: The cameras go behind the scenes as Caledonian Braves look to make their mark on Lanarkshire

It can be hard being the new kid - and Caledonian Braves are the newest kid on the Lanarkshire block.

Ricky Waddell is masterminding the clubs charge on the Lowland League as he tries to play attractive football and tempt punters to Alliance Park rather than the Fountain of Youth Stadium or Fir Park.

As the club look to establish themselves as a name, local favourites including Albion Rovers Hall of Famer Alan Reid and East Kilbride native David Winters are plying their trade at the ground inside Strathclyde Park.

Having previously played at Galabank as Edusport Academy it has been a huge year of change as former Airdrie and Clyde player Waddell revamped the whole first team.

Now the club are looking to top their previous total in the fifth tier - and build for a big future in the SPFL.

Lanarkshire Live Sport cameras were allowed access all areas as the club close in on the end of their first season as The Braves.
