WATCH: The best of Jayson Tatum & Jaylen Brown in 2020-21

Though the Boston Celtics found their 2020-21 season ending in disappointment, losing in the first round to the Brooklyn Nets in five games, the growth from Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown was evident.

The two All-Stars, Brown’s first appearance and Tatum’s second, both secured career-high seasons across the board for the Celtics this season.

Jayson Tatum averaged 26.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game — all career-high’s — while shooting 45.9% from the field and 38.6% from 3-point range.

Before being ruled out for the season with a fracture in his wrist before the postseason, Jaylen Brown averaged 24.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game — all career-high’s outside of rebounds — as well as shooting a career-high 48.4% from the field and 39.7% from downtown.

Boston’s young core of Brown and Tatum is one of the best in the league and with a new regime in Brad Stevens running the front office and Ime Udoka as head coach, Celtics fans can only hope that this season’s early playoff exit will look to be an anomaly going forward.

Check out the video above showcasing the top highlights from Brown and Tatum this season.
