Watch the 2021 Super Lap Scotland finale at Knockhill

THERE were plenty of thrills for motorsport fans at Knockhill last weekend for the finale of Super Lap Scotland.

Subaru Impreza WRX speed star Martin Brown was crowned King of the Hill as the SLS time-trial event ended after seven rounds.

A packed programme at the Fife circuit also saw the Scottish Mod Sports and Legends series conclude.

Meanwhile, for the first time in nearly 30 years, the CNC Heads Sports/Saloon Championship ventured across the Border.

But it was the SLS drivers who topped the bill – facing typically challenging Scottish weather that included thick fog, blazing sunshine and heavy rain.

While Brown also took the Class E honours, Pro went to Mitsubishi Evo6 driver Eric Holmes and ProX to Chrono pilot Simon Bainbridge.

Other overall class winners included Craig Nicol (Caterham Super 7), Michael Osborne Jnr (Mitsubishi Evo6), David Smitheram (Chevrolet Corvette C6) and Michael Imrie (Renault Clio).

Adam Kindness (Subaru Impreza Type R) and wife Fiona (MINI Cooper) were also both class winners.

In the Mod Sports, Honda Civic Type R racer Sean Martin was crowned champ, holding off BMW Solution F pilot Paul Brydon, with MINI cooper driver Adam Morrison claiming third place.

The Scottish Legends also saw some epic racing, with Stewart Black becoming champion, Steven McGill finishing second and Ben Mason third.
