THIS concours-standard Austin Healey 100/4 that’s good to compete in the famous Mille Miglia event could be yours for £110,000.
Fully restored and uprated to the high-performance M specification, the 1955 two-seater comes complete with eligibility and registration for the premier Italian classic car rally this June.
When it left the Birmingham factory bound for Melbourne, Australia, it was fitted with a torquey 2660cc, four-cylinder engine mated to a four-speed gearbox.
And as the sports car’s name suggests, it was capable of developing 100bhp and redlining at more than 100mph.
This model was treated to an extensive professional rebuild prior to returning to these shores in 2019, when specialists were called in to give it the M upgrade.
That means a heavily revised engine sits beneath a louvred bonnet with leather strap, resulting in a power boost of about 10bhp.
The blue leather trim, woodrim steering wheel, USB socket and Brantz rally timer can be protected by the blue tonneau cover.
With just 63,000 miles on the clock, the sale car has already been shown off at the 2019 NEC Classic Car Show in Birmingham and at a Goodwood meeting last summer.
