WATCH: Texans rookie DE Charles Omenihu strip-sacks Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes

The Houston Texans needed big plays from their edge rushers when they took on the Kansas City Chiefs and quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and they got one.

Rookie defensive end Charles Omenihu rushed off the left side and hit Mahomes on the blindside just as he was gearing up in his throwing motion. As a result, Omenihu knocked the ball loose. Inside linebacker Benardrick McKinney recovered at the Chiefs’ 3-yard line.

For Omenihu, that is 2.0 sacks on the season and two forced fumbles. The turnover led to quarterback Deshaun Watson scoring a 3-yard touchdown to give the Texans a 23-17 lead at the break.
