Houston Texans rookie quarterback Davis Mills capitalized on the defense’s first takeaway of the afternoon as he threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to receiver Brandin Cooks.
Cooks missed Week 16’s 41-29 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, but was able to come back against the 49ers.
Mills told reporters on Dec. 29 that he was excited to have Cooks back in the lineup.
“It’ll be exciting to have him back, obviously. Brandin was back, Justin Britt was back and a bunch of others. The team’s coming back together and everyone’s excited to attack it moving forward.”
The Texans led San Francisco 7-3 at halftime.
