WATCH: Texans QB Davis Mills throws 67-yard TD strike to WR Chris Moore

The Houston Texans said they were going to open up the offense for rookie quarterback Davis Mills, and they finally did so against the New England Patriots.

The third-round quarterback from Stanford threw a 67-yard touchdown pass to receiver Chris Moore, who the Texans elevated as one of their standard elevations from the practice squad.

The touchdown boosted the Texans as they took a 12-6 lead over the Patriots early in the second quarter. Kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn missed his second extra point to lock the score at 12-6.

Mills has now thrown four touchdown passes since relieving Tyrod Taylor at halftime of Week 2 at the Cleveland Browns.
