WATCH: Texans DE J.J. Watt forces fumble on sack

The Houston Texans offense can’t figure out the Carolina Panthers stingy defense. Their defense has figured out Panthers quarterback, Kyle Allen, though.

Down seven early in the third quarter with the Panthers possessing the ball at their 34, Texans defensive end J.J. Watt stepped up. Reeling around right tackle Taylor Moton, Watt put his hand right on Allen’s throwing hand, in turn, deflecting it out.

To finish off the play, Watt recovered the ball, giving the Texans favorable field position. The offense did their work to turn Houston’s third forced fumble on Allen into a touchdown. The strip-sack is Watt’s third sack of the season.

Houston’s defense is the key to their success on Sunday. With their offense struggling to gain momentum, the Texans have made Allen look just like what he is: a former undrafted quarterback.

Tied 10-10 in the third quarter, Watt and Co. still have work to do to win at home.
