Watch: Team capture footage of the Grand Canyon from the stratosphere

(Youtube)

Bryan Chan and a group of his friends attached a camera to a weather-balloon and launched it into the stratosphere, resulting in some magnificent footage of the Grand Canyon from 98,000 ft above.

Watch video here:

The friends actually launched thier project in June 2013, using a phone attached to the camera to track where it would land upon reaching earth. However the phone landed in a no-signal zone, resulting in the camera and all of its footage being lost. 2 years later a hiker discovered the device and was able to identify Bryan and his team from the SIM card, and allowing him to finally share the footage with the world.
