Watch teachers recreate iconic Scottish music moments in hilarious primary school clip

This is the hilarious moment a group of teachers from a Highlands Primary School saw out the end of another term - with a celebration of iconic Scottish music.

From The Proclaimers to Annie Lennox, staff at Mallaig Primary got together to create the brilliant video showcasing the fine home-grown Scottish talent that's made it to the world stage.

The video was put together by teacher Dawn Macphie, who every year comes up with the tough task of creating new, funny videos to celebrate the end of the school year.

Donna Fairlie, a pupil support assistant at the school, said: "Every year a theme is chosen and this year it was iconic Scottish bands.

"It was filmed on our doorstep with the amazing scenery as inspiration. It is not only the features we have on our doorstep but some of the fabulous musical talents."

The 37-year-old added: "We all love our job and have a fantastic team and we enjoy celebrating the end of term together.

"We want to celebrate our village, our school staff and pupils."

Various different iconic moments in Scottish music history appear on the clip.

It starts with a hilarious favourite - with one of the staff dressing up in an inflatable kilt suit dancing along to "Donald where's yer trousers".

Next up came two teachers, with brilliant old-style Proclaimers hair, dressed in leather jackets and glasses posing as Charlie and Craig Reid for "Letter from America".

'Sweet Dreams' by Annie Lennox also featured on the clip (Daily Record)

The beautiful scenery is then put on show during a bagpipe solo for "Mull of Kintyre" by Paul McCartney and Wings, before swapping to Annie Lennox for "Sweet Dreams".

The video already seems to have proved a hit with the locals, raking up thousands of views in just a day.
