This week, The Opening took place in Frisco, Texas. The Opening is a series of combines and camps that put some of the nation’s top high school football recruits to the test against each other with plenty of scouts on hand to soak in the action.
At The Opening this week was 2020 Georgia offensive lineman commit Tate Ratledge, who raised eyebrows with his physicality and strength. At one point during the drills, Ratledge found himself pitted against 5-star defensive tackle Bryan Bresee, who is committed to Clemson.
As you can see in the video, the two players clearly gave the drill their all and both looked to be working very hard in front of the numerous coaches and scouts on hand. Experiences like this will certainly help Ratledge as he prepares for the pressure he will face being on an SEC offensive line starting in 2020.
