WATCH: Tarik Cohen surprises fantasy football player with game tickets

Who knew selecting a player in a fantasy football draft could benefit you in real life? Bears RB Tarik Cohen surprised a random fan who selected him in the first round of his fantasy football draft and offered him tickets to an upcoming game.

“Somebody knows something about football right here,” Cohen said to the fantasy footballer who selected him in the first round. Then he told his fantasy coach he was gifting him tickets to an upcoming game this season.

Entering his third season in the NFL, Cohen has been a fantasy football gold mine since his rookie season. In leagues rewarding points-per-receptions (PPR), Cohen scored nearly 234 points across the 2018 season, good for 11th among running backs, and averaged 11.4 points per game, according to Fantasy Data. 

While the fan may have reached for Cohen (his average draft position is No. 75 in drafts, according to Fantasy Football Calculator), his gamble paid off in the way of tickets to see the Bears during the 2019 season.
