There was love in the air at Franco's chippy in Newmains yesterday (Tuesday) as two well-liked members of staff got engaged.
Erena Marrocco got the best surprise when her partner Cesare Amicizia proposed to her in work.
Cesare arrived at the chippy dressed in full costume as Mickey Mouse and was waving at staff and onlookers.
He then went into the shop and went up to Erena and got down on one knee and asked the question.
Erena, who you can see getting emotional in the video, said "yes" and the surprise proved worthwhile.
Shop owner Franco Marrocco is Erena's brother.
He told Lanarkshire Live : "It was a very heartwarming day at Franco's yesterday.
"Cesare wanted to surprise Erena in the best way as she is always very on the ball when it comes to things like this.
"My wife helped him with all the planning and it proved to be a great day.
"I'll be the best man at the wedding and I can't wait for the celebrations."
