Watch: Stunning air tribute over Dublin for Ireland's frontline workers

A stunning air tribute to Ireland's frontline workers was carried out in Dublin earlier today.

Eager sky watchers noticed an unusual formation carried out by some skilled pilots over Dublin Bay today.

And flight followers would have noticed an unusual situation over the Irish Sea on their tracking apps.

The magnificent stunt was carried out by a pair of German XtremeAir Sbach 300 planes.

They were part of the Red Bull Matadors aerobatics display and piloted by Paul Bonhomme and Steve Jones.

It turns out the lovely tribute was organised by the IAA for Ireland's frontline workers who tirelessly worked throughout the coronavirus pandemic to protect the public and those suffering with COVID-19.

A brilliant video shared by Dun Laoghaire Coast Guard showed the planes form a heart in the sky.
