WATCH: Steph Curry swishes shots in warm up sequence at Chase Center

The Golden State Warriors will begin a new season in their new arena Chase Center on Thursday night, and Steph Curry is already swishing shots in warm ups.

The Warriors tweeted a video on their Twitter account of Curry warming up, and each shot went cleanly through the net. The Warriors will take on the Los Angeles Clippers at 10:30 p.m. ET.

On a roster filled with youth, Curry, 31, is the team’s elder statesman. He is heading into his 11th season, and with the offensive load he’ll have to carry, Curry could be in line to win his third MVP award. Curry has won the MVP award in 2015 and 2016, and in 2016 he became the only player in league history to win the award by unanimous vote.

Last season Curry averaged a 30.4 usage percentage, his second-lowest of the past four seasons. His highest ever came during the 2015-16 season, arguably his best as a player. That season Curry scored a career-high 30.1 points per game and shot 50.4% from the field and 45.4% from three.

This season Curry will have the ball in his hands often, and his stats will likely increase. As the best shooter ever, Curry remains as one of the top five players in the league.

For Curry and the Warriors, their season will be marked by ups and downs, but if Curry can continue to perform, the Warriors have an opportunity to remain competitive in the Western Conference.
